1. What age group will my child play in? If your child turns 11 in 2009 they will play in Under 11s.
2. When is training? Pre-season will start mid to late January for most junior teams. Venue and time depends on the coach's availability.
3. What is available for my young child? ENSC will run small-sided games for Under 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s in the 2009 season. Specific information about what this format is can be found on the Football Federation of Victoria website.
Thanks to Ross Alatsis from Greek Media Group (TV HELLAS) for allowing us to republish the Victorian Football Show here for easy access when our WPL team features on it!
It contains the recently elected committee. In particular congratulations and best of luck to our new club President, Cameron Lockhart. It is a very demanding role and the committee will support Cameron with this challenging volunteer position, and we are sure that he will make a strong President for 2009.
From now ENSC will be accepting registrations for the 2009 season, so that we are able to prepare more efficiently with regards to placing teams, coaches and managers over the off-season.
And the compulsory club registration form (there will most likely be an FFV form to sign at a later date also) is available here: 2009 ENSC registration form
We will have all these forms at the Junior Presentation Day, and will be accepting $100 deposits for the 2009 season on the day.
SSGs are on again this Saturday at 10am. This is our second-last weekend, as we will be having our last SSG on Saturday 30th August. A Presentation Day will be scheduled for early September. [Submitted by Peter Moran]
The Annual General Meeting will be held on August 27th, 8.30pm at the Clubrooms.

From Thursday 24 July, customers can nominate a local sports club when they purchase any Savoury Scroll at Bakers Delight. Every nomination goes into the draw to score a Top Sports grant. The more nominations received, increases for Eltham North Soccer Club chance to win. So hurry into Bakers Delight, you've only got until August 20th!
Just a quick general update about what the committee is doing at the moment.
In two weeks we have the Trivia Night on Friday August 8th (tickets still available, contact Ann on 9439 3620), so we are gearing up for that. Some more helpers are required to ferry silent auction items and help out on the night . They are all simple tasks, you will still be able to enjoy the night! Please call Ann if you would like to help out.
July 28th we have the ENSC planning night. The committee and a small number of committed members from all parts of the club will discuss the future direction of the club. The outcomes of the planning night will be made available shortly.
The Junior presentation night is currently being organised by committee member Daniel Oehme (ex. 2007 registrar), so keep your eyes open for info about that one which will be on the website and cork-board in the club soon.
The Senior presentation night is also being organised by Dan. Venue looks like Watsonia RSL at this stage, but he is still waiting for positive confirmation on that.
Committee member Phil David is pushing the council to fix the cover of our new light which broke during the first week. The contractor has been organised to fix the light a couple of times but so far it has not been done. Phil is applying a lot of pressure, and hopefully the issue will be resolved shortly.
President John MacLeod and Phil are working with the council to make sure we have adequate facilities for 2009/2010 while our top ground is being re-surfaced (I can't wait for that!).
So, we are busy as usual, and still looking for committee members, so feel free to speak to any official at your home games about how you can get involved.
The Women's Premier League finals series process has been finalised for 2008 with $3,500 going to the winner. Eltham North supported by the Doncaster Rovers still has a good chance of making the WPL finals, sitting in sixth position on the ladder - one point behind Keilor.
